EAC Red Letter
Letter of Red (Letter of Redundancy) Official response by Relevant bodies, for example, Rosstandart (centre for standardization, metrology and certification), which includes legislation, to indicate that the product is not subject to mandatory certification. The letter must contain information proving that the product is not in the mandatory certification class. In other words, a letter of rejection can only be issued for products that are not subject to mandatory certification.
They can also request this letter from customs, customers can also make a request. Rejection letters required at customs must be obtained from the institutions specified in the customs and according to special standards (Certification Center, Rosstandart etc.). An optional certificate can be issued for customers instead of a letter of rejection, but this is more expensive.
There is no specific paper format specified for rejection letters. It is prepared only on A4 paper and has the stamp and signature of the given institution. The owner of the rejection letter can only be an institution or an individual. All required products can be written in a single rejection letter.
